Gift Guide for the Young Flutist

My favorite thing about the holidays is GIFT GIVING! If you’re wondering what to get the young flutist in your life, here’s some help!

  1. COLORFUL CLEANING CLOTH

There are so many beautiful options for both internal and external cleaning cloths out there. My favorite are made by Beaumont. The internal cleaning cloths are made of bamboo, it’s highly absorbent and machine washable! I use one myself.

  2. BEAUTIFUL FLUTE BAG

Even though the flute is small by comparison, having something unique to carry it with makes playing the flute so much more fun!

Try this sparkle bag by Beaumont, this purple bag by Protec, or this unique flute bag from Funky Flute Cases on Etsy.

  3. A METRONOME AND A TUNER

No flutist, young or not, should have to go without a metronome or a tuner! Sure, you can gets apps on your phone or iPad for that, but sometimes having a physical one makes life a whole lot easier. Korg makes a device that does both!

  4. WEARABLE GIFTS

Young flutists love to make their instrument stand out by adding accessories to their bags or their case in the form of pins or stickers. (I know I did and many of my students do!) Try this cute flute pin, these iron on patches, or stickers of their favorite animal/show/color to put on their flute case.

  5. THINGS TO MAKE PLAYING THE FLUTE EVEN MORE FUN

Being silly is a huge part of life and your young flutist is sure to get a kick out of a flute-stache.

  6. MUSIC

This is one that your young flutist AND their teacher will be very happy about! You can pick music that’s fun or music that you’d have to buy for lessons anyways. Always ask their teacher if there’s anything they’d like them to get but here are a couple of suggestions of music that would be enjoyable:

101 Disney Songs for Flute , Learn to Play Flute Duets , Forty Little Pieces
